IHGID GENERAL MANAGER

The Indian Hills General Improvement District, in no state income tax Nevada, is accepting applications for a full-time position of General Manager with State of Nevada PERS, great benefit package and annual salary of $60,000 - $80,000 DOE.  Under the direction of the Board of Trustees, the GM will oversee the day-to-day affairs of a 6,000+ resident community, including maintenance and operation of 0.6 MGD sewer plant and collection system, “state of the art” water treatment plant and water distribution system, streets, parks and open spaces.  The District currently has 14 employees, a $2 million + annual budget and an ongoing infrastructure update program.  Qualified applicants should have a minimum of ten years experience in public administration or utility district/general improvement district management, including budgeting and personnel supervision.  Hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of community infrastructures, public relations, contract administration, construction management and compliance with regulatory requirements along with basic knowledge of financial principals and practices and an engineering background is desirable.

The ideal candidate should posses a bachelors degree in public administration, business management, or a related field.  Preference will be given to Indian Hills GID residents or persons willing to relocate within the district.
