The Ad Valorem taxes (property taxes) that Indian Hills residents pay do not fund in any way the Water and Sewer Departments, by law we cannot use the tax funds to assist those enterprise departments. The only way we can support our Water and Sewer funds is the monthly rates charged to residents.
Indian Hills works within a budget, please know that the District has worked within our budgets and continues to do so on an annual basis. The Ad Valorem (property taxes) you pay go towards Parks, Open Space, Streets and Administration. The funds we receive from the State have been decreasing steadily every year but yet we continue to work within our budget given to us.
