Election 2016 - Two IHGID Board of Trustee Positions Open

There are two IHGID Board of Trustee Member positions open for election in 2016. Any qualified elector residing within the District may file a declaration of candidacy form.

The candidate filing period is Monday, March 7, 2016 through Friday, March 18, 2016, excluding weekends. The filing fee is $30.00 if the position is compensated. (IHGID Trustees currently receive $500.00 monthly. Candidates may file at either Douglas County Clerk's Office location: in the Administration Building (the Old Courthouse) 1616 8th Street, Minden or in the Lake Tahoe Administration Building, 175 Highway 50, Stateline. The office hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Nevada law requires identification be shown when a candidate is filing for office. The Douglas County Treasurer office is required to photo copy the ID and keep it on file. Please bring your identification with you when you file your declaration of candidacy forms.

The primary election will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016.

The general election is Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
